Black Film Festival Nov 19-22

MADISON, WI—Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development will bring together film, conversation, community and celebration during the fourth annual Black Film Festival November 20-22, 2026. Each day of the festival takes place at a different host venue, including Central Library on Saturday, November 21.

Following a ticketed fundraiser and screening of Alabama Brawl: A Documentary on Thursday, November 19, the Black Film Festival will take place Nov. 20–22 with free screenings, discussions and filmmaker conversations at locations across Madison.

The festival celebrates Black joy, resilience, art, education and culture while centering Black voices and experiences. Audiences are invited to engage with the films with an open heart and a ready mind—to listen, learn and experience culture that runs deep.
