Intermittent Elevator Outages at Overture Center Garage on February 16

ProAxis will perform scheduled exterior maintenance on the elevator hoistway at the City of Madison Overture Center Garage on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work includes replacing the header and window barrier on the exterior of the elevator hoistway. The project is expected to be completed in one day.

During this time:

The alley between the Overture Center Garage and the Dane County Courthouse will be closed to allow delivery and use of a lift necessary for the project.
The elevator may be shut down intermittently for brief periods, estimated at 15–30 minutes at a time, if needed to safely complete the work.
ProAxis anticipates completing the project with minimal disruption and may not require full shutdowns.
There will be no alternative elevator access available at the Overture Center Garage during any temporary shutdowns. During any elevator interruptions, customers will need to use the stairs to access upper levels.

All ADA accessible parking spaces at the Overture Center Garage are located on the lowest level. Individuals who require elevator access are encouraged to use an alternative City of Madison parking facility during the maintenance period.

On-site signage will be posted to notify customers of the temporary impacts. The City appreciates the public’s patience as this necessary maintenance work is completed.
