All Madison Public Library Locations Closed May 14 for Staff Day; Other May Hour Changes and Closures

May Hours Changes at Madison Public Library. All libraries closed May 14, 24-25. Last day for Sunday Hours is May 17.
All Madison Public Libraries will be closed May 14 for a staff in-service day and May 24-25 for Memorial Day. Other May hours changes include Sunday Hours at Central, Goodman South Madison, and Lakeview Libraries ending, with the last day for Sunday hours being on Sunday, May 17.

There are multiple closures and hours changes taking place during the month of May at Madison Public Library. Please see below for details:  

  • Thursday, May 14: All Madison Public Library locations closed for a staff in-service day.
  • Sunday, May 17: Last Sunday Hours* before summer.
  • Sunday May 24 - Monday, May 25: All Madison Public Library locations closed and Dream Bus off the road for Memorial Day.

*Madison Public Library offers Sunday Hours from Labor Day - Memorial Day at Goodman South Madison Library, Central Library, Lakeview Library from 1-5pm. Sunday hours will return after Labor Day. 

While our physical spaces are closed, Madison Public Library card holders can continue to access LINKcat to place holds, check their records online, or renew items. Book returns will remain open for 24/7 service, and Pinney Library has a drive-through book drop for convenience. 

Online collections, eBooks and downloadable audiobooks from Wisconsin's Digital Library, Kanopy streaming video, Flipster magazines, etc. remain available. Many online resources are available from home to explore.
