Around 9:00PM, City of Madison Firefighters were dispatched to the 6400 block of Cottage Grove Road for a structure fire. Several calls were made to 911 from passersby who noticed smoke and flames coming from a home.
Upon arrival, crews discovered the house was under construction. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, though navigating the second floor proved challenging and hazardous due to holes from construction.
The home was unoccupied. No injuries to firefighters.
The fire is under investigation.
