Ladder 14 Finds Vehicle Fire in Marsh off of Dairy Drive

A firefighter at Station 14 (located at 3202 Dairy Drive) discovered a fire down the street and immediately alerted the crew and 911 dispatch of the situation. 

Upon arrival to the rear parking lot of a commercial building at 3001 Dairy Drive, Ladder 14 could see tire tracks leaving the pavement and leading into the marsh. There, a truck was on fire. 

Ladder 14 pulled a hose line and extinguished the vehicle and surrounding brush that was on fire. Madison Police officers used drones to help search for possible victims, and firefighters did the same using thermal imaging cameras. No victims were found. 

It's unknown how the vehicle fire started, and no driver was located. A towing company was called to remove the vehicle from the marsh.
