Voucher Briefings

A voucher briefing is a mandatory orientation designed to assist new applicants understand the Section 8 program. Applicants learn about family obligations and responsibilities, how to effectively utilize their vouchers as well as maintain continued eligibility.  

This virtual, self-adminstered briefing entails watching a briefing video, reviewing documentation and submitting signed documents to the CDA office by the deadline indicated on your briefing letter. 

There are two types of voucher briefings:

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher 

This briefing is for applicants who have been determined eligible from the regular CDA Section 8 waiting list. The briefing letter you received will state Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Briefing at the top. 

Section 8 Project-Based Voucher

This briefing is for applicants who have been determined eligible for a specific unit with a specific property that has a project-based voucher contract with the CDA. The briefing letter you received will state Project-Based Voucher Briefing at the top.
