The Office of the Independent Police Monitor has released an official statement and FAQ page on the ongoing investigation of the officer-involved shooting of Corey Ruiz. Evidence related to the killing of Corey Ruiz was requested from MPD and denied. This office issued a subpoena to compel that evidence. The Madison City Attorney, the District Attorney, and the Mayor of Madison are supporting that obstruction.
