Those wishing to retrieve personal belongings that were collected at Williamson and Baldwin Streets can do so at the parking lot of Demetral Park. Around one third of the items have already been collected. City staff will be on hand until August 5 at noon to help. The items will not be left unattended. After that, starting on August 6, 2026, individuals wishing to recover abandoned property may use the following process:

• Email parks@cityofmadison.com or call 608-266-4711 and provide the following information.

• State your name and phone number and that you wish to recover personal property from the Williamson/Baldwin Street occupation area.

• Provide a detailed description of your property.

• Parks Division staff will review the description provided, review items in storage and make arrangements for the requestor to retrieve items.

• After September 18, 2026, the end of the 45 day period, any remaining items will be disposed of.
