Road Closure for Taste of Madison

Multiple streets will close for the annual Taste of Madison event Labor Day weekend.  Plan on extra travel time when traveling in the area.

The Taste of Madison event occurring on September 5th and 6th will close the inner loop of the Capitol Square and some adjacent streets.

Details of the closure:

Thursday, September 3

  • The 100 block of Wisconsin Avenue, as well as the 100 and 200 blocks of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, will close for setup to begin. 

Friday, September 4 at 5:00pm 

  • The Capitol Square will close to traffic and will remain closed until 11:59pm on Sunday, September 6th. 
  • Some Madison Metro Transit routes will be impacted, learn more about detours on Metro Transit's website.
