
Metro Detours from Downtown/UW Campus Area Due to Madison Marathon

Buses detour throughout the downtown and UW Campus areas on Sunday, November 13 due to the Madison Marathon.
Downtown Detours - Start of Service through 3:00 PM
- Routes 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 detour from the Capitol Square, Dayton St., Webster St. and Johnson/ Gorham streets north of State St.- see maps.
- After the area opens at 3:00 PM, buses will return to the Capitol Loop Detour until the end of service.
Routes 2, 5 and 22/ Northside
- Routes 2 and 5 do not serve Johnson/ Gorham streets, Sherman Ave. or Fordem Ave. Buses detour to First St. and E. Washington Ave. until 3:00 PM - see map.
- All Route 22 trips operate as a Route 21. Regular Route 22 service resumes with the 1:30 PM trip out of the North Transfer Point.
UW Campus/ Westside - Start of Service through 10:00 AM
- Buses do not serve University Ave. (between Walnut St. and Breese Terrace), Regent St., and Monroe St. - see maps.
- All Route 7 trips operate via Tokay Blvd. from the West Transfers Point to the Capitol Square.
Route 80 - Start of Service through 10:00 AM
- Route 80 does not serve the Memorial Union, Observatory Dr., Linden Dr. or Lot 60. Catch the bus on University Ave., Dayton St., Eagle Heights or UW Hospital - see map.
