Incident Details
Five apartment units on the 500 block of N. Midvale Blvd. were temporarily evacuated Monday night after a vehicle struck their building, pushing two windows, brick siding, and a window air conditioner into one of the apartments. Nobody was injured.
The driver stated she was pulling into a parking spot when her foot slipped and hit the accelerator. After striking the building, she reversed the car and parked it in its intended spot. She was not injured and did not seek medical attention. Nobody inside the building was struck or injured.
Residents in adjacent units were asked to come outside until fire crews and building maintenance could ensure the building was structurally sound. Building maintenance then worked to secure the building and arrange for permanent repairs.
