Engine 9 Extinguishes Air Conditioner Fire Outside Residence

West side firefighters were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Eau Claire Avenue for reports of flames showing outside a building. Engine Co. 9 arrived to find an air conditioning unit at ground level on fire. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and disconnect shut down electrical power to the air conditioning unit. The fire was caught early enough that it did not spread to the building. Nobody was injured or displaced.
