REACH-A-Child Provides Books For Children In Need
postedThanks to a generous donation of children’s books through REACH-A-Child, our first responders can take their efforts to provide comfort and consolation to area kids one step further.
27 backpacks stuffed with children’s books were given to Madison firefighters and paramedics across the city thanks to a donation made possible by Madison-based MVP Financial Services, Inc. through a grant from the National Association of Insurance Life Brokerage Agencies charitable foundation.
Ambulances and fire trucks from each of Madison's 13 fire stations will be stocked with books appropriate for kids of all ages!
REACH-A-Child’s studies have shown that children are easily comforted by books, which re-direct their attention during a chaotic situation – the very type of situation where they may meet our first responders.
We at the Madison Fire Department thank MVP Financial Services, Inc., the National Association of Insurance Life Brokerage Agencies charitable foundation, and REACH-A-Child for helping us better serve children in our area.
