District 19 interim alder applicants and interviews (UPDATED 7/22)

Seven applicants* to fill out the remainder of my term will be interviewed by the Common Council Executive Committee on Monday (agenda). You can read their application materials at this link.

The meeting will be held in room 354 of the City County Building and starts at 6:30. You are welcome to attend, or you can also watch live on Madison City Channel (TV or streaming).

The Executive Committee will use several rounds of questions to screen the applicants and eventually choose a nominee to recommend to the full Common Council. That person will be sworn in at the beginning of the Council meeting on August 7th, at which time I will leave office. I am a member of the Executive Committee, but will be an observer, not a participant, in this process.
