Meeting and Event Highlights for the Week of November 27, 2023

Winter is Coming!

As we are on the doorstep of winter, I wanted to share information with you about the upcoming 2023/2024 salt route changes for District 1. The City will be reducing the salt routes by a total of 6% this winter, so there will be noticeable (but not drastic) changes citywide. With Madison Metro redesigning its 2023/2024 winter routes, the salt route network was also re-evaluated. It was determined if Madison Metro is no longer using a street for a bus, then it is likely that the street would no longer meet the standards to be a salt route. Below is a map that shows what the salt routes will be for District 1.
