Bulk Brush Processing
No Contractors at Brush Processing Site Starting on July 14, 2025
Due to a pending construction project, we will no longer accept brush or wood chips from contractors at the brush processing center starting on July 14, 2025.
The construction project is expected to be completed sometime in December 2025.
Future accommodations of loads of brush & wood chips from contractors are to be determined depending on footprint of the new site, budgets, and other considerations.
Brush Processing Center Rules Until July 14, 2025
The Brush Processing Center charges fees to the contractors and residents who bring in brush or wood chips to be processed into wood mulch. Material is accepted from City of Madison properties.
Fees - Until July 14, 2025
We accept MasterCard and Visa. We do not accept cash or check payments.
- Brush and tree limbs: $40 per ton, charged in $20 increments
- Wood chips: $20 per ton, charged in $10 increments
Contractors - Until July 14, 2025
Contractors can bring brush to the Brush Processing Center if you cut it in the City of Madison.
You will need to show a copy of the receipt with the address where you cut the material.
Residents - Until July 14, 2025
Residents can bring your brush if you have more brush than you can take to a drop-off site.
Please bring a driver’s license, utility bill, or other document that proves you live in Madison.
