This project is now complete. Parks expects the establishment of the turf grass to continue this fall and into next spring. Please contact Parks staff if there are additional concerns with the site of project.

Sycamore Park
Project Information
The Sycamore Park Master Plan was approved by the Board of Park Commissioners in May 2023. The plan includes a Sun Shelter structure with paved connection to the existing asphalt path to the south of the playground. Parks staff has begun the design and permitting process for the structure, and anticipates installation in early 2025. Once complete, the shelter can be reserved through the Madison Parks Picnic Shelters page.

September 8, 2025 Update
The contractor on this project has experiences significant delays. Madison Parks is working to ensure work is completed this year. The estimated completion date for Sycamore Park is now October 17th.
May 29, 2025 Update
This project has been successfully bid and awarded to Greener Valley Landscaping. The contractor is expected to start work on this site sometime in July and by complete by October 17th.
