Absentee Ballots Mailed for June 17 Special Election

The City of Madison Clerk’s Office has mailed absentee ballots to voters with requests on file for the June 17 Special Election to fill the District 1 seat on the Dane County Board of Supervisors. Absentee ballots must be returned early enough for the Clerk’s Office to deliver them to the polls to be counted on Election Day.
Each highlighted section on the envelope must be completed. The absentee envelope needs to be:
Sealed
Signed by the voter
Signed by the voter’s witness
Complete with the printed name of the voter’s witness
Filled out with the witness’ address
The Clerk’s Office recommends mailing back absentee ballots as soon as possible. District 1 voters also have the option to return their completed absentee ballot to the Clerk’s Office during regular business hours or use the ballot drop box located outside Fire Station 1 at 316 W. Dayton St. The ballot drop box will be open for use starting on Thursday, May 30.
