Motorcycle Crash on Eastbound Beltline

Ladder 14 and Medic 6 responded to the eastbound Beltline Highway near South Stoughton Road for a crash involving a motorcycle and a boat trailer.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a motorcycle fully engulfed in flames and a single patient who was thrown approximately 500 feet from the motorcycle.

Madison and Monona Police provided traffic control as Ladder 14 split its crew to begin fire attack while also assuming patient care.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Ladder 14 checked on and provided support to bystanders who attempted to help at the scene.
