No Injuries Reported In Vehicle vs. Building Crash

The Madison Fire Department responded to 1112 N. Pleasant View Road for a vehicle collision involving an apartment building. Engine Co. 12 arrived to find the driver on scene denying injuries. The collision caused damage to an exterior load-bearing wall. The vehicle was resting partway into the wall space. The apartment impacted is currently vacant.

The MFD Heavy Urban Rescue Team (HURT) was consulted, and due to the extent of damage, they responded to the scene to shore up the collapsed wall.

The vehicle was removed from the building, and the MFD HURT placed temporary structural support in the wall to help support the second floor. The occupant of the upstairs unit was advised to stay out of the room impacted by the collision until permanent repairs are made.
