  • Be prepared for weekend storms: Residents are advised to stay up to date with the forecast and be aware that flash flooding could cause streets to become impassable. [posted August 15, 2025]. Portions of District 19 are particularly vulnerable to flooding.
  • Go Grocer Alcohol License: Go Grocer, the new owner of 901 S Gammon Rd, has applied for a liquor license similar to the prior owner’s. It is Item 19 (Legistar 89311) on the August 20 agenda of the Alcohol License Review Committee. District 20 Alder Harrington-McKinney and I are hosting a virtual neighborhood meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 19, to present information on the license. Postcards have been mailed to nearby residences. Use this link to register and receive an email with login instructions.
  • Mendota-Spring Harbor Greenway Dead Tree Removal: City Engineering has made arrangements for the removal of a number of dead trees in the Mineral Point and Masthead Sections of the Mendota-Spring Harbor Greenway. A notice with additional details will be mailed to homes within 100 feet of the removals. The exact schedule of the removals has not been finalized and could take place over the next three months. The locations of the dead trees in the following map are approximate only.
