Give Streets a wave during their work to keep our neighborhoods clean; Please fill out Midvale Blvd survey; Neighborhood association meetings this week; Announcements and Events
postedHello neighbors,
I want to give a special shout out to our Streets Department, as they are working around the clock to keep our streets clean during student move out. If you see our intrepid staff out there, please give them a thumbs up and a wave!
Reminder: Traffic Engineering has opened a survey about what residents want to see happen when Midvale Blvd from Mineral Point Rd to University Ave is resurfaced next year. This resurfacing project is part of the normal process of resurfacing our streets as road conditions deteriorate with typical wear and tear. Resurfacing helps to extend the life of our roads between major, more expensive reconstruction projects. Please note we are asking for your address as part of the survey so staff can assess responses based on who lives on the street vs. who uses the street for transportation purposes. The three options are shown on the project page, if you would like to review those before responding to the survey. We highly recommend forwarding the survey to residents who live on Midvale Blvd and nearby streets, and local biking enthusiasts, in the event they are not subscribed to these emails. It’s important to note that no matter what, there will be significant pedestrian improvements crossing Midvale Blvd implemented as part of this project. The survey closes September 2. The project will come before the Transportation Commission on September 10.
