Water Leak Traced to Turtle Tank Upstairs

Engine 3 responded to 1782 Fordem Avenue for a reporter water leak. The 911 caller met with firefighters and reported that water was leaking around their sliding patio door. Building maintenance had already been called.

Firefighters went upstairs to the unit above and found the resident arriving home at the same time. Upon entering the upstairs unit, they found that a 45-gallon fish tank had sprung a leak and drained most of the water. 

A turtle residing in the tank survived unscathed.
