Portion of Milwaukee Street Closed to Through Traffic on November 20

On Thursday, November 20, between 9am and 3pm, Milwaukee Street, between Fair Oaks Avenue and Walter Street, will be closed to through traffic by Integrity Grading and Excavation for water main installation for a private development project.
The detour route will be Atwood Avenue, using Walter Street to the east and S Fair Oaks Avenue to the west.
Metro buses and emergency vehicles will still be able to access the closed portion of Milwaukee Street. The contractor will maintain this limited access two-way traffic via flagging.
Work will continue on Friday November 21, but there will be one travel lane maintained in each direction on Milwaukee Street and no detour will be in place.
