Candlelight Snowshoe Walk
Event Description
1/16/2026 Update: This will be a walk/hike event. The snow we're receiving will make for beautiful trails but is not enough for snowshoes, which need about 6-8 inches of snow. Expect trails to be a winter mix of snow, mud, puddles, and ice. If you have them, please consider wearing waterproof boots and snow or ice grips.
Join Madison Parks, Friends of Urban Nature, Wild Warner and the Friends of Cherokee Marsh in this free, family-friendly event at Warner Park. See the park by candlelight and warm up by the fire. This event will be a walk/hake, no snowshoes. No registration is needed. This event will take place with or without snow cover but may be canceled if conditions are icy or otherwise unsafe.
See MAP for more information.
Meeting Location: the "rainbow" shelter at Warner Park
Food Carts: Tom's Travelin’ Coffee, Jakarta BBQ Station, Tacos El Cucuy, and Runnin' on Empty
Restrooms: available onsite in the shelter
