Streets Division Drop-off Sites Closed Saturday, November 29, 2025, and Sunday, November 30, 2025, Due to Snowstorm

posted

All Streets Division drop-off sites will be closed on Saturday, November 29, 2025, and Sunday, November 30, 2025.

The drop-off sites will be closed due to the significant snowstorm expected on November 29, 2025 and cleanup efforts to follow on November 30, 2025.

Drop-off sites are expected to be open for their posted hours on Monday, December 1, 2025. The Olin Avenue location will be closed for the remainder of the winter.

Why are the drop-off sites closing on both days this weekend?

The Streets Division is the agency that provides snowplowing for the City of Madison.

By closing the drop-off sites these days, it frees up staff to be available for snow-related shifts on Saturday (11/29/25) and Sunday (11/30/25).

Closing the sites also keeps you safer. Making a trip to a drop-off site in difficult weather is an unnecessary risk. Whatever item, or items, you are looking to bring to a drop-off site could certainly wait until better conditions.

Will there be a make-up for this lost weekend?

We understand closing the drop-off sites will be a disappointment to those looking forward to using them on the final weekend of the 2025 season.

If the weather cooperates, we hope to provide a make-up weekend for these two lost dates as soon as possible.

More details will be provided later.
