Discount Eligibility

Discounts are applicable only to reservations made after the QDP process is completed. Reservations submitted before the discount is applied will not qualify. If you cancel and resubmit reservations, the standard cancelation policy applies. 

Complete and Submit Application

Complete and submit a new application annually. Upon submission, you will receive an email with a link to track the status of your application. Staff will review your form, apply the qualified discount to your account, and email you the results. Discounts reset at the end of each calendar year.

Reservations

Public reservations open each year on the third Monday in February. If the date has passed, you may submit reservations at any time. If the date has not yet arrived, please wait until the opening date to submit your reservation.

• Ensure that application answers accurately reflect your organization. 

• Specialized athletic fields, shelter reservations, field lighting, and additional permits are not included in the QDP for athletic reservations. 

• Discounts are not retroactive and will expire each year, requiring you to complete the application annually before making athletic reservations. 

The QDP for athletic reservations has been approved as a permanent discount program. This program has been in development since 2022 and was piloted in 2024 & 2025. The program has been developed to provide a more transparent, consistent, and equitable approach to the distribution of discounts for athletic reservations. 

With the approval of the QDP for athletic reservations, the City will gradually phase out the youth discount over a three-year period. During this transition, eligible groups will receive whichever discount is higher – the QDP or the youth discount.

The QDP eligibility and discount level are based on the type of organization, group or individual making the athletic reservation.

Whether you have previously received the youth discount or are learning about our discount programs for the first time, you’ll need to complete a QDP application to be considered for discounts.
