Street Use Permit Fee Schedule

The cost to have a community event on Madison streets varies. All events must pay a non-refundable application fee. Other fees and charges may apply for your event depending on the need for equipment and/or City services. Use the Fee Schedule to aid your event budget planning. 

The fee schedule is subject to change without notice.

Non-refundable and due at the time of the application.

Application Deadlines 

30-day deadline applies if your event includes:

  • Closure of 3 or more blocks
  • A street closure requiring a Metro route detour or bus stop closure
  • Substantial traffic management

60-day deadline applies if your event includes:

  • Beer and/or wine service or sales
    (Temporary Class B alcohol license required)
  • Vending in the Mall Concourse

Events requesting vending in the Mall Concourse must be approved through a Special Event Resolution – $50 per block

Clean Up Fees

If City staff are required to clean up after an event, the cost will be billed at $50 per hour, per staff member.
