Years ago I began creating a calendar annually from my own photos. Each year I have the calendar produced with 13 of my handpicked photographs. I typically give it to family members and a few friends and they always seem to really enjoy it (or so they said). As the still relatively new Madison Parks Public Information Officer, I thought.... Madison Parks should have a wall calendar. Wait, Madison Parks needs to a have a beautiful wall calendar capturing some of our greatest moments in parks!

Well, that time has come and we need your Madison park photos!

With over 270 parks and thousands of acres, Madison Parks offers millions of photo opportunities. We'll be creating a 2017 Madison Parks calendar from our favorite photos submitted and taken in a Madison park!

If you'd like your photo(s) to be considered for the 2017 Madison Parks calendar, please email your high-resolution, digital photo(s) by Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Be sure to include the name of the park, the photographer and contact information. At this time we have no disclaimers on who, where or when (although please read the fine print below). Photos should be submitted by the photographer (anyone is eligible – be it a Park employee, volunteer or park user - this project is open to everyone), there is no restriction on when the photo was taken (in the 70s, last year or next week.... it does not matter), and the only restriction on where - it must be taken in or of a Madison, Wisconsin park. It's that easy! I can't wait to see where you've been in Madison Parks!

Happy Snapping!
