Public Input Meeting - Olin Park
Event Description
The pavilion in Olin Park, known as the Monona Lake Assembly Normal Hall, is one of the most historic buildings owned by the City of Madison and one of the most popular park shelters in Madison. Built as a lecture hall for the Monona Lake Assembly in 1884, the pavilion was designed by Madison architect David R. Jones as 'Normal Hall' for the Wisconsin Sunday School Assembly.
The landmark building requires substantial structural and exterior repairs happening in 2026. The community is invited to a virtual public meeting as Parks and Engineering staff will provide information on the planned rehabilitation work for the Olin Park Pavilion – Normal Hall. The historic facility requires interior and exterior repairs, and we look forward to sharing further details on the efforts to preserve this landmark asset.
See Olin Park Pavilion - Normal Hall Rehabilitation project page for more information.
