Event Description
Birding Turville Point ~ Join Naturalist Paul Noeldner on a free fun family friendly walk to explore beautiful trails and look for winter birds like Great Horned Owls perched in pines and Red-tailed Hawks starting to nest. We will also look for early Spring migrants like American Robins and Red-Winged Blackbirds and waterfowl on the bay. Dress warm. We may have a campfire with hot chocolate and smores after the walk.
Walks at Turville Point held on the 2nd Sunday of every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners, Madison Parks and Friends of Olin Turville.
Meet at the Turville Point parking lot, entrance at the E. Olin Ave. stoplight from John Nolen Drive at the railroad tracks, south of Olin Park (not at the boat launch). Free, welcoming, healthy, fairly accessible, family and kid friendly, educational, no registration required, no pets. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
