Public Information Meeting - Warner Park
Event Description
As part of the Warner Park Southeast Recreation Area Development Plan, we identified the need to reconfigure the athletic fields located in the southeast corner of Warner Park. We were awarded a Land and Water Conservation grant funding through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. A Request for Proposals was posted in early 2026 and we accepted a bid from KL Engineering to take the project through final construction documents, public works bidding, and to oversee construction of Phase 1.
Phase 1 Construction
- Removal of existing backstops, infields, lighting, tennis courts
- Field grading to improve drainage and accommodate new field orientations
- Installation of new field lighting to accommodate new field orientations
- A portion of the path network to connect Trailsway to the northern area of Warner Park
- Installation of cricket pitches and goalposts
Virtual Public Information Meeting
Parks staff are hosting a virtual Public Information Meeting on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 6:30PM to share information about the project, including a preliminary concept layout and the proposed design and construction timeline. This will be followed by an opportunity for public comments.
