2023 Sport Court Resurfacings
Each year, the City of Madison Parks Division bids a maintenance contract through Public Works for crack filling, resurfacing and re-striping of color sport courts (basketball, pickleball, tennis) at various locations throughout the parks system.

In 2023, this work is anticipated to occur at the following locations:
- Bordner Park tennis courts (will also receive pickleball striping) - work began 5/4 with power-washing and resurfacing work began the week of 5/23; COMPLETE on 5/29
- Brittingham Park tennis courts (will also receive pickleball striping) - work began the week of 5/8 with power-washing and resurfacing work is anticipated to start 6/1
- Door Creek Park north tennis courts (will also receive pickleball striping)
- Heritage Heights tennis courts (will also receive pickleball striping)
- Nakoma Park tennis court (striping-only for tennis and pickleball)
- Norman Clayton Park tennis courts (will also receive pickleball striping)
- Olbrich Park tennis courts (will also receive pickleball striping)
- Warner Park basketball courts & tennis courts (striping-only for pickleball)
Sport court resurfacing work requires mean daytime and overnight temperatures of at least 55 degrees plus extended periods of dry weather - so scheduling the specific locations will occur throughout the contract time period and may be delayed or slowed by inclement weather. Parks staff will work to post notice of anticipated court closures at the various sites and to this website as the contract progresses.
Updates on this project will be posted to this site as they become available. If you have any questions about the project, please contact Kate Kane at kkane@cityofmadison.com or (608) 261-9671
