Brittingham Park
Project Information
The tennis/pickleball courts at Brittingham Park were recently inspected after staff noticed leaning fence poles on the court’s south side. Significant corrosion was identified, including vertical cracking and metal separation, posing a potential safety hazard. While corner poles showed no immediate signs of corrosion, varying levels of corrosion were documented on the poles around the entire court.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10 and 11, weather permitting, Parks staff will remove the south side poles and fencing and replace them with temporary fencing. The temporary fencing is approximately 6 feet high and is expected to remain in place through the 2025 season and until the fencing around the entire court is replaced.
In 2025, Parks staff will prepare plans and secure bids to replace the court fencing. The replacement fencing for the entire court is anticipated to be installed by summer 2026. The courts will be closed during the construction project.
