This project has been successfully bid and awarded to Greener Valley Landscaping. The contractor is expected to start work shortly and complete the shelter by June 27th.

Project Information
The North Star Park Master Plan was approved by the Board of Park Commissioners in July 2018. The plan includes a Sun Shelter structure with a paved connection to the existing asphalt path near the playground. Parks staff has begun the design and permitting process for the structure, and anticipates installation in early 2025. Once complete, shelters can be reserved through the Madison Parks Picnic Shelters page.
