February 19, 2013 3:54 PM

Hello, my name is Lieutenant Trevor Knight and I am proud to introduce myself as the new East Police District Operations Lieutenant starting in January, 2013. I will be replacing Lieutenant Wayne Strong ,who will be retiring in January.

I have been serving the community as a member of the Madison Police Department for twenty four years. During my career, I have been assigned as a Patrol Officer, Detective, and Sergeant. I have been a Lieutenant for the past seven years. In this capacity, I have been assigned as the Officer In Charge for both the First and Third shifts, West District- Field Lieutenant and as the North District- Detective Lieutenant.

I am a long time resident of the east side, so I have a vested interest in this community. My children attended Kennedy Elementary, Whitehorse Middle School, St. Dennis School and are graduates of Lafollette High School. I am eager to begin working with you and serving the East District in the coming year .I will continue the relationships that Lieutenant Strong has fostered and start building new ones. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
