Maximize winter fun by booking an outing for your group. Enjoy ice skating, cross-country skiing or sledding with the use of an indoor shelter or clubhouse.

Cross-Country Skiing Group Outing

Reserve your own cross-country skiing group outing at Elver Park or Odana Hills Golf Course! 

Outing Includes

  • Use of the shelter or clubhouse during non-public hours
    • Potential date and time options are offered during non-public hours and availability is based on the weather or trail conditions
  • On-site restrooms, also open to the public at Elver Park
  • On-site staff exclusive to your group
  • Picnic tables and benches are available inside and outside the shelter at Elver Park. Tables and chairs inside Odana Hills Clubhouse

Cost

  • $35 per one-hour party, includes unlimited cross-country ski passes for each participant for use during event

  • Bring your own
  • Pay individually onsite
    • Adults $9/hour
    • Youth (15 and younger): $5/hour
    • Each additional hour: $5
 

Ice Skating Group Outing

Reserve your own ice skating outing at Elver, Tenney or Vilas!

Outing Includes

  • Exclusive use of the shelter
    • Potential date and time options are offered during non-public hours and availability is based on the weather or ice conditions.
  • On-site restrooms, also open to the public
  • On-site staff exclusive to your group
  • Picnic tables and benches are available inside and outside the shelter.

Cost

  • $35 per one-hour party

Ice Skate Options

  • Bring your own
  • Pay individually onsite - figure or hockey
    • Adults $6/hour
    • Youth (15 and younger): $3/hour
    • Each additional hour: $2
  • Pay $60 at the time of reservation for up to 30 skates for one hour; sizes not required at time of reservation.
    • Sizes available
      • Youth: Y7-4
      • Women's: 5-12
      • Men's: 5-14
    • Pick up skates from concessions

IMPORTANT: Due to limited quantities of each size, skaters may need to be flexible in the type or size of ice skate available.

Sledding Group Outing

Reserve your own sledding outing at Elver Park!

Outing Includes

  • Up to 10 sleds for one hour

Cost

  • $35 per hour

    • Rent $2/hour
    • Buy $20

Food & Beverage

  • Concessions are available at standard posted prices.
  • Individuals may bring their own food or beverage.
  • Alcohol (beer or wine):
    • Allowed at Elver, Odana Hills and Vilas.
    • Permit required at Tenney Park ($50) and paid in advance with reservation.
  • No glass is allowed in any park.

Cancellations and Inclement Weather Policy

  • No refunds are given for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the event date.
  • Cancellations or changes made to an existing reservation made 7 days or more prior to the event date will receive a refund minus a $10 administrative fee.
  • If an event is cancelled by Madison Parks due to inclement weather or amenity conditions, we will make every effort to reschedule your reservation at no additional charge. In the event we are unable to reschedule, you will receive a full refund.
