Election Day is almost here

Tuesday, August 11, 2026, is Election Day. Polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voters are encouraged to confirm their polling location in advance, as some sites have changed. 

Bring photo ID 

  • Several types of photo ID are acceptable, including a current WI Driver's License. 
  • See the full list.

Not registered to vote? That's okay. 

Provisional ballots 

  • A voter who cannot provide an acceptable form of ID will be given a provisional ballot. For their ballot to be counted, a provisional voter will need to bring their ID for review to the City of Madison Clerk's Office by the Friday after Election Day (August 14, 2026).
