Upcoming Virtual Public Information Meetings (PIM) 

  • Thursday 04/23/2026, 6:30pm - North Transfer Point (1201 Huxley St and 1910 Roth St) Redevelopment 
    • Register for Zoom - You can join the virtual meeting using your computer, smartphone or tablet, or you can can participate via telephone. If you are having trouble registering with the URL shared on the postcard, make sure you are not including the period at the end (if you are entering by hand, it is www.cityofmadison.com/MeetingApril23Huxley).
    • DevCo Residential Group proposes to redevelop the properties at 1201 Huxley St and 1910 Roth St. The existing structures would be demolished, and two new, four-story apartment buildings would be constructed. The new buildings would contain a total of 163 affordable residential units for households earning between 50% and 75% of the Area Median Income and would be comprised of a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Parking plans include surface parking with 197 car parking stalls, 183 indoor spaces for bicycle parking, and 18 outdoor spaces for bicycle parking.
    • This meeting will start with the developer presentation and then folks will have the chance to ask questions and give feedback specific to this project.
  • Thursday 04/23/2026, 6:00pm - American Family Insurance Championship Golf Tournament
    • Register for Zoom 
    • The American Family Insurance Championship, a golf tournament and related activities, will be held June 1-June 7, 2026, at TPC Wisconsin, 1659 Players Drive. Representatives from the AmFam Insurance Championship team, and City of Madison staff from the Parks Division, Parking Division, Metro Transit, and Madison Police North District will be present to provide information, answer questions, and gather feedback.

  • Coffee with a Cop – East District, Tuesday, April 21: Coffee with a Cop is a chance for community members to connect with the officers who serve their city. Officers can speak about recent cases to department wide initiatives to lower crime in our community. 
  • Celebrate Earth Day in Your Local ParkAccept the Earth Day Challenge by joining your neighbors and friends in this year's Earth Day Challenge! Volunteer to help clean up your local park on Saturday, April 25!
  • Reporting Tree Damage: With this severe weather this past week, it is a good time to remind everyone how to report issues with trees along the road. If there is a tree emergency – like if a tree falls and blocks the road – call 911 or at least call 608-255-2345. Dane County Dispatchers will get to our on-call arborists to respond to the emergency. If there is some other less severe situation, then you can certainly use the report-a-problem to let us know of other concerns. 
  • Public Health Offices Close Early on TuesdayPublic Health Offices will be closed on Tuesday, April 21, from 11:45am - 4:30pm for an event.

Boards, Commissions, and Committee Meetings

  • Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 21, at 12:00 p.m. in hybrid format. Agenda items include honoring the service of outgoing alders, swearing in newly elected and returning alders, and the election of the Common Council President and Vice President.
  • Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. in hybrid format. Agenda items include revising several sections of the ordinances related to the work of the Office of the Independent Police Monitor and the Police Civilian Oversight Board.
  • Board of Public Works: The Board of Public Works meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at 4:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include approving the roadway geometry for Regent Street, as well as approving public works projects in District 14 and District 16.
