Truman Olson RFP Responses

Grocery Store Update

Yesterday was the deadline for responses to the Truman Olson RFP which targets the location of a new grocery store to serve South Madison.

I'm pleased to announce the City has received four proposals.

This is tremendously exciting news. The goal is to develop this site in a manner that suits the needs, interests and concerns of South Madison residents. Based on the number of proposals, I'm hopeful we'll come up with a project that does just that.

The proposals are available here for you to review.

The City will host a public meeting to review the responses from development teams on September 26, 2019, 6 PM, at the Madison Labor Temple (1602 South Park St).

Prior to the public meeting, City Staff will draft a report regarding the proposals. This report will be posted to the City's Legistar website and to the web page linked above.

Questions regarding the RFP or the review process can be directed to:

This is your grocery store. This is your city. Your voice matters.
