Run Madtown Race Event Street Closures

Several downtown streets will be closed for the Run Madtown(link is external) races on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

The Twilight 5K race starts at Library Mall at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24. Road closures will be in effect until approximately 8:30 p.m.

The half marathon and 10K races start at Library Mall at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 25. Road closures will be in effect until approximately 11:00 a.m.

Course marshals and police officers will be at intersections along the race courses to assist participants and traffic. Traffic will be allowed to cross the routes only when there are sufficient gaps in the participants. Drivers should plan to use alternate routes to avoid the race courses, if possible.

There are significant Metro Transit bus detours for the duration of the events. Further details of the Saturday evening Metro detour are available. Buses detour again and more significantly on Sunday morning.
