Common Council: The Common Council upheld the decision of the Alcohol License Review Committee and denied the change of license premise request by Visions. This means that the private booths that were constructed without building permits and without ALRC permission will need to be removed. At Tuesday's meeting, I also introduced a new resolution entitled: Providing a COVID-19 Response for People Experiencing Unsheltered Homelessness by Allowing Temporary Use of Specified City Lands, Terminable at Any Time by the City, In Order to Support Safe Outdoor Space Practices. This resolution is needed in order to prevent the spread of COVID associated with encampments on city property. I will share more details next week before the item is considered at the May 19th Common Council meeting.
