Common Council Meeting

On Tuesday, the Common Council will hold its first hybrid meeting since the beginning of the pandemic. Members of the public, city staff, and alders may attend either virtually or in person. You can find all the meeting details here. Some items on the agenda of potential interest to D15 residents include:

Item 7 - Petition received in the Madison City Clerk's Office June 3, 2022 from Voit Land LLC and E.C. Voit & Sons Inc, regarding attachment from the Town of Blooming Grove to the City of Madison. 

Item 8 - Petition received in the Madison City Clerk's Office June 28, 2022 from SWAYNK LLC, regarding attachment from the Town of Blooming Grove to the City of Madison.

Item 71 - City of Madison Commits to the Five Principles of Responsible Outdoor Lighting 

Item 72 - Repealing Section 10.085 Entitled “Outdoor Lighting” and Creating Section 29.36 Entitled “Outdoor Lighting” of the Madison General Ordinances.

Eastmorland Community Association Annual Meeting 

On Tuesday, the ECA will hold its annual meeting at the Walter Street Park Shelter in Olbrich Park, Zoom link will be shared if weather is bad! You can find a link to the agenda here

Parks Alive - Darbo/Worthington Park

Also on Tuesday, from 4-7p, will be the next Parks Alive event at Worthington Park.

Olbrich Park Paved Path

Staff will share information with the Board of Park Commissioners on Wednesday related to a feasibility analysis of changing the path grade in Olbrich Park between Lakeland and Atwood Avenues. The path alignment was approved at a previous Board of Parks meeting. You can find more details here and full meeting info here.

Eastmorland Outdoor Market

Join us for the second Eastmorland Outdoor Market of 2022 at the Lansing Food Forest (299-201 Starkweather Dr). Shop from neighborhood vendors, grab a pizza or bring a picnic and hang out with your neighbors in this lovely green space. This market also features a special performance by Beni Daiko, a local interactive Japanese drumming group! (Music starts at 5pm and is free with donations gratefully accepted. @madison_beni_daiko) More details here.
