Common Council Meeting
Several new items will be introduced at Tuesday’s Common Council meeting for committee referral and future action. One item proposes an update to our street assessment policy and another proposes changing alder terms from 2 to 3 years. The 2023 Executive Operating Budget will also be introduced (released Tuesday). You can find the meeting details here.
Board of Parks Meeting
Wednesday’s Board of Parks Commissioners meeting includes a Biergarten at Olbrich Park Annual Update and an Informational Update on Dogs in Parks Designation Process. You can find all the meeting details here.
Virtual community sessions on the 2023 budget
The city’s budget for 2023 will be debated and adopted by the Common Council in November. In addition to public comment opportunities at Finance Committee and Council meetings over the next six weeks, there will be two virtual community sessions on the budget. City Finance staff will provide background information on the city’s capital and operating budget process, including highlights of the 2023 executive budget. This is a great opportunity for residents to learn more about our city’s budget. Electronic copies of budget information can be found at. Virtual community sessions on the 2023 budget will be held on Thursday, October 13, and Monday, October 24. Both meetings will start at 5:30 PM and end at 7:00 PM. Join the October 13 virtual community session or Live stream the October 13 virtual community session.
