New Alder Boundaries in Effect, Polling Places Proposed - D15 Update 1/3/22

New Year, New D15 Boundaries in Effect

The new alder district boundaries took effect on January 1st. Welcome to new D15 residents in the Glendale, SASY, and Worthington Park neighborhoods and best wishes to previous D15 residents that are now part of Districts 3, 12 or 17. If you're unsure of what alder district you're now in, you can search by address in this interactive map.

Common Council Agenda 

The first Common Council meeting of 2022 will be held on Tuesday. The Common Council voted to continue meeting virtually for the foreseeable future. You can find a link to the full agenda as well as links to register for items on the agenda and links to watch the meeting here. Some items of potential interest to D15 residents include:

On Thursday, staff will hold a virtual public information meeting to review the proposed design for the Dempsey/Davies reconstruct project. This project originally included a portion of Maher Avenue which has been removed from the current project in order to continue working on design alternatives. Christmas Tree Collection & Olbrich Labyrinth Project

The first round of Christmas Tree collection begins today with a second round beginning January 18. You can find all the details here.

Or if you're able, consider dropping off your used holiday greens sometime before January 29 at the designated point at Olbrich Park. Lillian Sizemore needs to collect 250 trees to construct a labyrinth in the park for the project commissioned by the Madison Arts Commission Blink program. You can find all the details here
