Today is the eastside budget engagement event

I'm looking forward to connecting with many of you this evening for the first of several budget engagement events.

  1. Q. Why are we hosting engagement event's around the City's budget?
    1. In short, we'd like to hear directly from you about what you value most regarding City services and the vision that you have for our City overall.  
  2. Q. Will there be time for questions?
    1. Yes. After City Finance Director David Schmiedicke's presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
  3. Q. If I can't make this event, will there be another engagement event I can attend instead?
    1. Yes.  There are four more scheduled in other parts of the City.  Check out those details and register.
  4. Q. Which Alders will be in attendance?
    1. Derek Field (District 3), Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford (District 15), Jael Currie (District 16), and myself, Sabrina Madison (District 17)
  5. Q. Where can I learn more about the budget?
    1. The Finance Department recorded a four-part series to explain the fundamentals of the City’s budget and options for closing the budget deficit. Information Series on the 2025 Outlook

    1. Wednesday, May 1, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

    1. Yes, there will be light refreshments.
