Two Community Meetings Next Week (9-17-18 & 9-20-18)

posted

I will be hosting two community meetings next week:

On Monday, September, 17, 2018 at 5:30pm, Lt. Lori Chalecki, from the Madison Police Department, will join me for a meeting to discuss the Nile Restaurant's application for an Entertainment License (21+). The Nile Restaurant is located at 6119 Odana Road. Their application will be considered at the Alcohol License Review Committee meeting on Wednesday, September 26.

Monday's meeting will be hosted at Crazy Lenny's E-Bikes, 6017 Odana Road.

The Nile Restaurant currently has a Class B Combination license and has applied for an Entertainment license. Entertainment licenses are required for premises providing amplified or live entertainment.

On Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 7pm, Alder Phair (District 20) and I will hold a neighborhood meeting where Stone House Development will discuss their development proposal for 5614 Schroeder Road. Stone House proposes to construct Schroeder Road Apartments, a mixed-use building comprised of 96 apartment units, 81 of which would be affordable housing, and approximately 4,000 square feet of commercial space that is slated to be a restaurant. Twenty integrated supportive units would be set aside for formally homeless families and veterans. Stone House has partnered with The Road Home and Dane County Veterans Service to provide supportive services.

Thursday's meeting will be hosted at Falk Elementary School Gym, 6323 Woodington Way

The Cap Times had an article on this development last month.
