Pedestrian Crossing Improvements

SCHROEDER-HATHAWAY & OLD SAUK RD AT CRESTWOOD SCHOOL

This year, the City formed a staff team from Traffic Engineering and City Engineering, and developed a new process to evaluate and prioritize the different requests and needs throughout the City based on safety, operations, equity and budget considerations.

Two of the recommendations for 2019 from the team is to improve the pedestrian crossings on Schroeder Rd at Hathaway Dr. and Old Sauk Rd at the Crestwood School.  Traffic Engineering is designing a set of RRFBs (rectangular rapid flashing beacons) for the intersection. The plan is to implement this in the summer or fall of 2019.

Sewer Warranty Program Partnership Change

The City's contract with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) has ended. While the partnership no
longer exists, this change will not impact coverage or service for the nearly 12,000 current subscribers. New
customers will be able to enroll starting in May with the new provider.  More details.
