Oakwood Village University Woods Campus Redevelopment Neighborhood Presentation

posted

Last night a neighborhood meeting was held as the first step of Oakwood Village Campus Redevelopment proposal. You can view the presentation online.

Here's information on the City of Madison Planning process:

From a process standpoint, the two-phase Oakwood Village redevelopment project will be a major alteration to the 1973 Planned Development (PD) zoning district for the University Woods campus, which will require Common Council (CC) approval following review and recommendations by the Urban Design Commission (UDC) and Plan Commission (PC).

Their proposal may also expand the geographic area of the campus zoned PD onto land they own south of the current site adjacent to the end of Genomic Drive, which would be the same public review process as above: UDC -> PC -> CC.

Oakwood is planning on being in front of the Development Assistance Team (DAT) on May 9 to present their plans. That presentation would be followed by a visit to the Urban Design Commission and then Plan Commission in the next few months.

As always, if there is anything I can do to help, feel free to reach out: district19@cityofmadison.com
