Proposed Development - 5602 and 5606 Schroeder Road (Recording and Presentation)

On July 21st, Alder Phair and I hosted a virtual neighborhood meeting about JD McCormick Properties' development proposal for 5602 and 5606 Schroeder Road (the corner of Schroeder Road and the Beltline). (Alder Figueroa Cole and Alder Harrington-McKinney joined us as well) The existing structures would be demolished, and a new, four-story, 81-unit multi-family building would be constructed. The proposal calls for a combination of underground and surface parking.

The site is in an Urban Design District and the project will need approval from the Urban Design Commission (UDC). (Informational Presentation to UDC about this Project).

Application Hearing and Approval Schedule

The developer is expected to submit their application on August 8th.

If approved, the developer anticipates that the construction on this site will start in early 2023.
